About Us
We started with a question.
Not what is trending.
What is worth wearing.
The difference seems small. It is not.
Where it started
Grins & Chuckles was started by a graphic designer who had spent ten years watching the Indian market offer two kinds of things: affordable and generic, or expensive and borrowed from somewhere else.
The question underneath both was the same — who is this for?
The answer, too often, was: whoever the algorithm says is buying this month.
This brand was built around a different question.
What we believe
Jean-Paul Sartre said existence precedes essence. You are not born with a predetermined self. You exist first. You become what you choose to become — through your actions, your commitments, your choices. Including what you put on in the morning.
Max Ehrmann said something simpler.
You have a right to be here.
Both are true. Grins & Chuckles makes things for people who know both are true.
We do not chase trends. We do not manufacture urgency. We do not borrow our identity from what is performing well this quarter. Every product starts with an idea — a concept, a philosophical provocation, a pun that earns its laugh, a reference that rewards the curious. The object carries that idea. The price makes carrying it possible without justification.
What we make
Five lines. One idea behind all of them.
Wear — apparel made to be worn with intention. T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, caps, and totes with quiet marks, typographic systems, and concepts worth wearing.
Work — desk and creative tools that make work feel less sterile. Notebooks, planners, desk mats, and stationery with ruled systems and archival logic.
Room — objects for living spaces. Prints, posters, mugs, and small decor to make rented rooms and borrowed corners feel owned.
Curios — small objects for delight, collectability, and gifting. Keychains, stickers, badges, and odd objects with recurring characters and symbolic systems.
Editions — limited collections, artist drops, and one-of-a-kind pieces. Made in small numbers. When they are gone, they are gone.
How we work
Made in India. Priced honestly.
We source from Indian manufacturers who take their work seriously. We price things so the choice to buy does not require justification. We design things that give you more room to be yourself — not less.
We believe getting dressed and arranging the objects around you are small but genuine acts of self-authorship. We make equipment for those acts.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
Wear what you mean.
